Course Pre-requisite:
Written and oral English skills equivalent to NCEA Level 1 (Year 11) or an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher.
The course combines theoretical learning with practical application to ensure that workers are proficient in selecting, and using height safety equipment in various work environments. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of fall protection systems, as well as the legal and safety requirements for working at height.
Upon successful completion of the Unit Standard 25045: Employ Height Safety Equipment in the Workplace course, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to safely use height safety equipment in the workplace. You will understand how to select the right equipment for specific tasks, conduct inspections, and follow safe working practices to prevent falls.
