Course Pre-requisite:
Written and oral English skills equivalent to NCEA Level 1 (Year 11) or an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher.
This training combines theoretical learning and hands-on practical skills to ensure participants can confidently identify and inspect height safety equipment, including harnesses, lanyards, and fall protection systems. The course focuses on best practices for equipment inspection, understanding wear and tear, and maintaining equipment to keep it in safe, operational condition, reducing the risk of failure while working at height.
Upon successful completion of the Unit Standard 19359: Identify, Inspect and Maintain Height Safety Equipment course, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to properly inspect, maintain, and identify height safety equipment in a safe and compliant manner. You will understand how to keep your equipment in good working condition, ensuring the safety of workers at height and reducing the risk of accidents.
