If US 24089 Demonstrate knowledge of fatigue management, work time, and driver logbook requirements is required you will need to complete both Unit Standards 24089 and 17577.
The cost of this course including GST is $1760 plus any additional loading fees payable to the NZ Transport Agency Licensing Agency.
If you already hold US 24089 the cost of this course including GST is $1560.00 plus any additional loading fees payable to the NZ Transport Agency Licensing Agency.
If you provide your own Class 5 vehicle the cost of this course including GST is $1058.00 plus any additional loading fees payable to the NZ Transport Agency Licensing Agency.
You MUST hold a current NZ Class 5 Learner Licence prior to booking this course.
One and half day Course:
Students that hold US 24089, Demonstrate knowledge of fatigue management, work time, and driver logbook requirements will need to provide evidence that you have completed this unit standard
Day 1: Theory; Unit Standard 17577, Operate a combination vehicle to meet the requirements for a full Class 5 driver licence that includes:
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SIT UNIT STANDARD 17577 OR DO ANY OF YOUR PRACTICAL DRIVES WITHOUT A CLASS 5 LEARNER LICENCE
All practical drives are completed on a NZ Transport Agency approved route that encompasses specific terrain as per the NZ Transport Agency guidelines and must be completed successfully and without incident
Upon successful completion of Unit Standards 17577 and 24089, you will be issued with a NZ Transport Agency Driver Licence and Endorsement Certificate from Know The Rule to take to a NZ Transport Agency Licensing Agency where they will process your application to have the appropriate endorsement(s) added to your Driver licence. The approved NZ Transport Agency Driver Licensing Agent either VTNZ or AA will issue you with a temporary Full Class 5 Licence.
NOTE: You are NOT licensed to drive a Class 5 vehicle on a New Zealand road without a supervisor until you have submitted your NZ Transport Agency Certificate to either VTNZ or AA and received your (Temporary) Full Class 5 licence.
This licence is issued to allow you to drive a Class 5 vehicle on a New Zealand road while you are waiting for your new licence to arrive (Up to 4 weeks).
